Where we are
SISMeR’s headquarters is in Bologna, just outside one of the most important gates of the third ring of city walls, Porta Maggiore. This makes the centre well connected to the motorway, airport and train station. A stone’s throw from the city centre, at the point where Strada Maggiore becomes Via Mazzini, as it continues along the ancient route of the Via Emilia, the Clinic guarantees easy accessibility and the necessary confidentiality, its entrance being located in a quiet side-street off the busier Via Mazzini.
The facility consists of an historical four-storey building with a surface area of approximately 1000 m2.
From the motorway (6.2 km)
From the A14, take the Bologna Fiera turn-off: take via Michelino, then via Stalingrado following directions towards the city centre (“Centro”). When you reach Porta Mascarella (one of the city gates), turn left onto the avenues that surround the city, pass Porta S. Donato and Porta S. Vitale; at Porta Maggiore, turn left into via Mazzini (leading out of the city centre). The SISMeR Centre is at number 12.
From Guglielmo Marconi airport (11 km)
Take the bypass (following directions to “tangenziale”), turn off at exit 7-7bis and proceed towards the centre of Bologna (“centro”)/via Stalingrado and follow the signs towards the city centre. When you reach the avenues that surround the city, pass Porta Mascarella, Porta S. Donato and Porta S. Vitale (city gates). At Porta Maggiore, turn left into Via Mazzini (the road leading out of the city centre). The SISMeR Centre is at number 12.
From Bologna Centrale train station (2.6 km)
On foot: leaving the station behind you, turn left on to the avenues surrounding the city centre and pass Porta Mascarella, Porta S. Donato and Porta S. Vitale (city gates). At Porta Maggiore, turn left into Via Mazzini (the road leading out of the city centre). The SISMeR Centre is at number 12.
By bus: take bus no. 25 towards “Deposito Due Madonne” and alight at the first stop in via Mazzini. Cross the road and you will be outside the SISMeR Centre.
Parking facilities: the Centre does not have its own car park, and we therefore recommend you leave your car in the car park in piazza Trento e Trieste, less than 200 metres from the SISMeR headquarters.
