ESHRE Campus – The impact of reproductive surgery on cross-talk

Course description including main topics

Surgery as a first option treatment for infertility has been progressively replaced by ART and in the early days both procedures were often considered in contrast to each other. But today practitioners face an increasing number of cases of multifactorial infertility and both approaches are considered complementary in the successful treatment of patients with specific indications. For this reason, and considering the increasing need for updated information on the most innovative surgical procedures in reproductive medicine, a second edition of our successful Campus course has been arranged. Like the first course in Vienna in 2014, this year’s event will discuss the latest advances in the field, and, following a collaboration between the SIG Reproductive Surgery and the Task Force on Management of Fertility Units, the cost effectiveness of reproductive surgery programmes in IVF centres.

 Aims

  • to present and discuss the latest data and most innovative procedures in the field of reproductive surgery
  • to investigate and teach surgical techniques which can be useful in preventing infertility and improving ART results
  • to evaluate the cost effectiveness of surgical procedures vs IVF or combined with IVF
  • to analyse effectiveness and safety of reproductive surgery and to discuss strategies for their improvement
  • to analyse research and evidence-based data concerning all aspects of the implantation process

Data

Gen 28 2016 - Gen 30 2016
